We are working with Fort Carson to add Cingular Wireless cell phone charges to the monthly Detail Toll Bill. Cingular sends out a CD in their Wireless Information Navigator Advantage 7.0 format. From the CD, we can extract a Service Summary report that lists charges for Monthly Access, Airtime, Roaming, Local and International Long Distance, and all Taxes and Surcharges. We can also extract a Usage Detail report from the CD to list total Airtime and Long Distance charges for each call along with the Date, Time, Duration, Originating and Terminating Numbers and Locations. These charges are treated as Other Common Carrier transactions and are stored in the OCC Transaction File. We can assign a BAC for each charge by storing the cell phone numbers in the Plant Record Circuit File. The charges are then printed on the Telephone Services Bill for each BAC. All of the standard billing and waste/fraud/abuse reports work with the cell phone charges as well.
