Objective:

• Enable users to develop, maintain, and query the Plant/Cable Records module.

The Plant/Cable Records application training will provide the students with the ability to create and track circuits, organizations, cables and pairs, buildings, and terminals. They will also be able to create and track line features and equipment with prorated charges, and to maintain an inventory of equipment. They will be able to make line service history inquiries and produce comprehensive reports for cost analysis and budgetary efforts.

Specific training objectives include developing the ability to:

• Create records for circuits, cables, cable pairs, and terminals
• Generate canned or user defined reports in ASCII format
• Create line equipment items and line service features
• Attach and track line equipment and line service features to circuits
• Track user-definable circuit types
• Create and track circuit ownership
• Produce detailed line service history reports
• Track buildings, cables, terminals, and cable pairs
• Produce line and equipment charge calculations that can be prorated
• Develop and maintain an equipment inventory listing
