Objective:

Enable system administrators to define user access to TMS.

The System Administration training will provide students with the ability to define access for TMS users. TMS security encompasses three distinct layers. The first level limits the menu options for every user capable of reaching the TMS server. The second level of security involves setting a password for each individual user or user group. The final layer of security allows the administrator to limit access to specific tasks within each password. Students will learn to manipulate each level of security for maximum protection of the database and confidential information.

Specific training objectives include developing the ability to:

• Control the menu options that any user can access
• Create, change, or delete user groups for access to TMS modules
• Set, change, or delete the task access of any user group
• Modify content and format of the "canned" reports found within TMS
• Design, produce, and modify customized reports as printed documents or electronic files
